Queensland's First Dedicated EV Fleet Track and Test Drive Day a Resounding Success

Queensland’s first ever dedicated electric vehicle (EV) track and test drive day for Fleet Managers and businesses exploring EV options considered by all to be a resounding success.

Hosted by Sensium Fleet Telematics, Queensland’s first ever dedicated electric vehicle (EV) track and test drive day for Fleet Managers and businesses exploring EV options, saw representatives from a variety of businesses and government agencies come out to test drive the latest EV's actively learning more about the benefits of transitioning to electric fleet vehicles.

Electric vehicles offer a number of clear benefits for businesses, including reducing running costs and improving sustainability credentials. However, some businesses may be hesitant to try out an electric vehicle.

Sensium's CEO, Jeremy McLean, said that the event was designed to help business owners make the switch to electric vehicles.

"Fleet managers are often overwhelmed with making the switch to electric vehicles," said Mr McLean. "Our event gave them the opportunity to try out a range of different models and speak with experts about the benefits of making the switch."

Attendees had the chance to try out a variety of different EV models, including the Tesla Model Y, Nissan Leaf, Kia Niro EV, Polestar 2, Fuso eCanter, Hyundai Kona EV, Mitsubishi PHEV, JAC Pantec from BLK Autos, plus EMoS EV Food Delivery trikes, the Benzina Zero, EV golf buggies and EV motorbikes supplied by Bartons EV Moto and more.

Sensium is a pioneer in the development of EV telematics, having recently announced Sensium Connect EV+, a groundbreaking platform that lets Fleet Managers monitor and control electric and ICE powered vehicles from a single dashboard.

Said Mr McLean, "Making the switch to EV's can be a big decision, and it's not always easy to know where to start. Thankfully, this event helped attendees make their own decisions about whether or not electric vehicles are right for them by exploring various pros and cons of making the change, as well providing access to test drive an extensive array of current models available."

"Due to the exceptional support shown to us by The Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) and all vehicle vendors, we are also excited to announce that we will be running this event again in November," announced Mr McLean.
